Forward facing
now he can see out of the front
Gabriel is very excited right now because we have a new car! Not only do we have a new car but he has a new big-boy car seat to go in it, which means that his favourite thing to do at the moment is go out somewhere, anywhere, in the car
He's been in an extended rear-facing seat up until now (a Britax 2-way elite for anyone who is interested in that kind of thing) but as he is almost 5, and starting school soon, we figured he could go forward facing now, which he really likes. When you talk to people about rear-facing seats for older children the first question they ask is "but where do they put their legs?"... well, you can see that Gabriel sits with his legs crossed and turning the seat round doesn't seem to have changed that!
Today our trip out was our regular Sunday visit to see Grandma and Grandpa. Gabriel had been asking if it was time to go since he got up this morning, and I'm sure it's not just because he wanted to go in his new car seat ;-)
Today the boys have mostly been playing in the garden with Grandma's pegs (who knew a box of pegs could make such a great toy?), getting very dirty feet, and eating lots of nice dinner.
