Gabriel Mitchell

The smaller noisy one.

Walking (and some climbing)

look what I can do...

So, it turns out Gabriel can walk. A bit. He does quite a lot of trying to walk, and quite a lot of falling over after a few steps. So far his record is 10 steps, which was to try and get my fake ice cream. I mean, if you're going to walk you might as well have a good goal right??

It also turns out that Gabriel is rather better at climbing than he is at walking. And, as he's quite good at walking then you can just go ahead and use your imagination as to how brilliant he is at climbing!

No? well I'll give you an example then. Tonight I put him into bed and then went downstairs to try and sort out the screaming mass of fury also known as Linus. Whilst downstairs we heard some banging going on in Gabriel's general direction. We tend to ignore this kind of thing, because if we don't it means we have to climb the stairs. Presently though, he began crying so Bob went up to see what was the matter.

Poor little baby crying in his cot? banging the bars? trying to climb out?? oh nooo. Not Gabriel. Bob discovers the devil child banging away on the bedroom door to be let out. He has:

1.) climbed over the side of the cot onto our bed (we presume)

2.) climbed off the bed, silently. (bed is at least 2ft off the floor)

3.) wandered on over to the door to try and find us all and join in the screamy fun.

What a funny little fellow we think, as we let him crawl around while Linus gets ready for bed and has his bedtime story.

Turns out that Gabriel can also climb up the ladder to get into Linus's midsleeper bed.

Be scared. Be very scared.
